Biggest injuries heading into Week 2:
- Marlon Mack (Achilles)
- Blake Jarwin (ACL)
- George Kittle (Knee)
- Lev Bell (hamstring)
- DeVante Parker (hamstring)
- Michael Thomas (ankle)
- Duke Johnson (ankle)
marlon mack hurt
nyheim hines zominating
- mack played 11 snaps (prolly torn achilles)
- hines 39 snaps - 53.4% - 32 backfield, 3 slot, 4 wide [7-28-1 | 8-8-45-1]
- taylor 26 snaps - 35.6% - 24 backfield, 2 slot [9-22-0 | 6-6-67]
- Rivers is going to make a MASSIVE difference for these RB pass catchers
Myles gaskin?
Fitzpatrick (62 snaps)
Myles Gaskin - 39 snaps (62.9%) 9-40 | 4-4-26
Breida 5 carries 0 targets. Played 14 snaps on offense (22.6%), they had him playing on kick off coverage. Jordan Howard out here averaging a couple of quarters, 8 carries for 7 yards. Played on 9 snaps - had a carry on 8 of them I mean... that's just poor game-planning/coaching. Messy backfield that I want no part of.
MVS WR2 in GB - rodgers looks good
- 76 plays ran for GB, insanse. TOP = 41:16 to 18:44
- Adams 70 snaps (92%)
- Lazard 68 snaps (89.5%) - 30 from slot, 38 outside [4-4-63-1 + 19 yard run]
- MVS 42 snaps (55.3%) - 14 slot, 27 wide [6-4-96-1] deep threat
Logan Thomas in Washington
Led the team in targets with 8. 2nd in the NFL amongst TEs barring MNF. Had the only 10zone target for the team, turned it into the TD.
James Robinson
- Only jacksonville RB to get a carry. 16-62 (3.9 ypc). Caught only target for 28 yards. CT: 2-2-6-0.
WASHINGTON front 7 vs. depleted PHI oline was a PROBLEM
this was about as ugly as it could get for carson wentz. man did these o-line problems add up. no brandon brooks, no more andre dillard, no lane johnson, wentz was sacked 8 times.
It doesnt help that Washington's front is FEROCIOUS.
This is going to be a problem for Philly this year, especially against stout front 7's.
Hockenson looks good (detroit)
So, I'm way more optimistic than Levitan is on Hockenson. Great first game. Looked very involved, saw a ton of double coverage too. We'll have to see what the team looks like when Kenny Golladay returns, but this is a good start.
As for D'Andre Swift, AP took the rushing work, sure and Swift completely disrespected my ancestors with that egregious game-losing drop at the end, but I, like Adam, are encouraged. As soon as we heard news over the summer of the leg injury, it was always going to be an uphill battle for him to hit his potential.
They trusted him on the GL (got ony GL carry), he led RBs with 5 targets, was in on all 2 and 4 minute drills.
Obviously it's AP > Kerryon tho.
Now, one guy to absolutely have an eye on is Quintez Cephus. He's only owned in like 12% of dynasty leagues right now.
He led the team in targets, with 10. He played on 62 snaps, led all rookie WRs in week 1. Now, he played 85.5% of his snap outside, and he was not efficient at all, only caught 3 of 10 targets. When Kenny G is back, he's not going to be playing much on the outside, and it seems like Amendola has the slot so it's possible he's just benched for the most part once Kenny G is back, but you don't get to add 10-target guys in dynasty all the time (~12 owned on FF) - he's worth dropping some faab on.
Robby Anderson
Peyton barber GL back in WAS
Peyton Barber played so much on Sunday lol. Guy had 5 GL carries - CEH is the only RB with more than him in the NFL right now.
That was my concern with Antonio Gibson. We don't know the defined roles and it seems clear there's going to be some type of committee in this football team's backfield.
zack moss GL back in BUF? receiving too (ez targets)
Browns offense is a shitshow
- Don't want to overreact, bc Ravens defense might just be that good, but I'm guessing the Browns just have some problems, mainly Baker Mayfield.
- Odell had 10 targets, caught 3 of them
Let's talk about this Chargers/Bengals game
Mike Wiliams looks fucking awesome today - might as well cut one arm off
sell mixon
Just a miserable first outing for mixon. as long as gio is there, we're never going to see his ceiling in the passing game.
This offensive-line is still bad. Burrow was under pressure all day. Bottom 5 in time to throw per NFL Next Gen Stats - took 6 QB hits.
Buy A.J. Green
Now, I don't want to get ahead of myself, bc it's one week, and Chris Harris now plays for the Chargers, who went up against Tyler Boyd, but A.J. Green certainly looked like the preferred option there. And this is the time to buy, if you're going to.
Green payed on 66% of snaps, trailed Boyd (81%) and John Ross (84%). As Green gets back from the hamstring injury, that's going to grow.
Green saw 9 targets, no one else had more than 5. Burrow overshot him on a 40-yard TD. He was not afraid to chuck it up and let his WR make a play on it. That's the kind of trust you're not sure whether or not you're going to get between a rookie QB and whichever WR. Missed another like 25 yard grab on the sideline by about an inch. On the last play of the game basically, he scored another TD but was called for offensive pass-interference.
So
Austin Ekeler
I'm sorry, but tyrod looked terrible. This Bengals defense stinks and they were only able to score 16 points? They play the Bengals in Week 1, after that they play the chiefs, panthers, bucs, saints - all games that are going to be great game script for Ekeler.
He had 20 touches. That will continue to be a thing, but more of them will be in the passing game.
I'm not panicking on Ekeler yet.
Josh Kelley an obvious pick up, but I still don't think he's going to be very useful in most games, where they're not playing the Bengals.
